“Excellent chicken chimichanga with the additional salad plate. The crispy shell held a perfect combo of chicken, rice, cheese, onions, and peppers. I paired it with salsa verde and sour cream on the side. The portion was large enough to share—half of mine immediately went into a to-go box. The refried beans and greens on the salad plate were delicious, offering a great complement to the main dish.”
“Tried La Casita for lunch during our fall foliage trip around the Green Mountain area. It offers authentic Mexican food with modern vibes. There’s outdoor dining, which is great. I had the taco salad bowl and fried shrimp tacos—both were huge and full of flavor. Fresh veggies, rice, and beans made the meal well-balanced. Service was a bit slower on this busy afternoon, but definitely worth the wait. The chef was very friendly and even offered us tastes of their fresh homemade hot sauces. A tasty house margarita and chips to start made the meal even better!”

I recommend pairing them with a Mango Margarita, fresh guacamole, and plantains. I promise you won’t be disappointed! Though we live an hour away, this is our go-to spot for Mexican food—it’s absolutely worth the drive. A big thank you to the amazing crew at La Casita; you are appreciated more than you know!”
