Crosstown Trails
The Crosstown Trail system offers cross country bikers access to more than 20 miles of multi-use trails with terrain for various abilities. The main Crosstown Trail and Valley Trail are both graded trails and perfect for those looking for a short leisurely cruise, while the rest of the trails are traditional New England “rock & roots” single track trails for the more advanced riders.
The Crosstown Trails are located just 1 mile from Rt 100 in West Dover up Cross Town Rd.
Hoot, Toot, & Whistle Trail
The Hoot, Toot, & Whistle is a multi-use trail that is named after the railway whose rail bed the trail now follows. This 2 mile trail begins at Reardon’s Bridge in downtown Wilmington and follows the Deerfield River before meandering along the shoreline of Harriman’s Reservoir and finally ending at the reservoir’s picnic & swimming area. With gentle elevation changes and fantastic views of the reservoir, this trail is perfect for all ability levels.
Mount Snow Bike Park
Since opening lifts to mountain biking 33 years ago, Mount Snow has been putting smiles on dirt-covered faces every summer. The terrain and trail system is rooted deep in the heritage of Downhill Mountain biking with the resort hosting dozens of major events over the years.
In the past few years Mount Snow has been progressively integrating features like berms, ladders, man-made surfaces, and dirt jumps into their trail system; staying ahead of what has become expected of the new age bike park. Mount Snow is home to Gateway, which is one of the longest introductory downhill trails in the East. Anyone who is already comfortable on a mountain bike now has the opportunity to let gravity do the work without having to be an expert.
