In the spring of 2004, the towns of Wilmington and Whitingham made a historic agreement: to merge their middle and high schools. Fall 2004 heralded the birth of Twin Valley Middle School with students from West Dover, Wilmington, Searsburg, Jacksonville, and Whitingham. The same building is also the home of Whitingham Elementary School.

The Deerfield Valley Health Care Volunteers, Inc. is a 501C3 nonprofit corporation with its headquarters in Wilmington, VT. This organization is committed to providing financial support to promote specifically the health and welfare of the communities of the Deerfield Valley, Vermont. These communities are namely Wilmington, Whitingham, Jacksonville, Dover, Searsburg, Readsboro, Halifax, Wardsboro and Stamford, Vermont

The Deerfield Valley Sportsmen’s Club, Inc. (Originally named the Wilmington Rod & Gun Club, Inc.) is located at 641 Fowler Road in Whitingham, Vermont and has been in operation for close to 50 years. We are a Volunteer Non-Profit Organization 501(c)(4). The club provides an opportunity for firearms enthusiasts and their families to enjoy a wide variety of shooting and outdoors activities.
