The Deerfield Valley towns of Wilmington and Dover are working together and independently on economic development plans aimed at improving the quality of life of residents, employers, and visitors to our area.

The Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce is committed to the efforts put forth by these two emerging groups:

Bi-Town Economic Development Group - Created by joint charge of the Wilmington and Dover select boards, and with representatives from both boards, each town administrator, the MSVCOC President and Executive Director, and a cross section of both tourism and non-tourism related business owners.

Dover Economic Development Committee - The Dover Economic Development Committee (often referred to as the "DEDC") was created by mandate of the voters in Dover at the 2007 Town Meeting.  This group advocated for passage of a 1% tax to be dedicated to economic development and improving and enhancing the quality of life in Dover for residents and visitors alike There November 2007 progress report to the Dover select board can be read  here

Following the flood resulting from hurricane Irene, the town of Wilmington and the Bi-Town committee have again united to work on Long Term Community Recovery for economic development.  Begun with FEMA assistance this process continues with the work of over 30 committees tasked with developing needed projects to ensure Long Term Recovery.  As these reports become public records we will post them here for public review.

Additionally the Mount Snow Valley Chamber is actively working with the Brattleboro Development Corporation to secure funding under the Economic Development Agency grant process.
